Now we come to pictures of that famous library, Al-Maktabah adh-Dhaahiriyyah in Damascus, which the Shaikh loved so much and where he spent so much of his life, never departing from it … at times sitting and studying on the floor, at times in the special room which was allocated specifically for his personal use, and at other times standing and reading on the ladders in the library … and as his son Abdul-Lateef mentioned many times the Shaikh would forget to eat his food that day …

No sister, these pictures are from Syria. Sheikh Albani was born in the city of ‘Shkodra’ (Scutari) – a stronghold of Islamic faith in Albania, and a metropole during the last 200 hundreds years of the Ottoman rule. May Allah swt reward him well & make him an excellent example for the muslims of Albania.

    Assalaamu alykum
the pictures are nice, in that they give an insight into the life of this giant scholar. How simple did he live his life, yet how great was his status!
Im having doubts about this though, these pics may be enroute to veneration of the pious. I remember reading a fatwa of shk bin baz rahimahullah prohibiting taking pics of houses & masaajid of ulama as this may lead to veneration of the makhlooq. Allah knows best.
